
Adrianne Huxtable earned her B.Sc. (Hons) in Human Physiology from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, B.C., Canada) and her Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Alberta (Edmonton, A.B. Canada). She then continued to pursue research as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Wisconsin – Madison (Madison, W.I., USA) before joining the Department of Human Physiology in 2015 and was tenured in 2020 at the University of Oregon (Eugene, O.R., USA).

Post-Baccalaureate Students

Madison Kerkmann is an undergraduate student at the University of Oregon, currently earning a B.S. in Neuroscience with a minor in Fine Arts. Madison is interested in exploring the complex intersection between the arts and sciences. Madison joined the Huxtable Laboratory in Fall 2023. She aims to further understand the intricacies of nervous system development through hands on experience in the Huxtable lab.

Baronie (Bear) Pardue completed her undergraduate in Biology with a minor in Business in March 2025 at the University of Oregon. She has an interest in biological innovation and research methodologies. Her goal is to contribute to advancements in scientific research and development before attending a graduate program. Bear began in the laboratory in Winter 2025.

Misha Shah graduated from the University of  Minnesota with a B.S. in Biology. She previously worked in Dr. Brendan Dougherty’s laboratory, studying the effects of GPCRs on phrenic motoneuron activity and neuroplasticity. She joined the Huxtable laboratory in September 2025 and is hoping to expand her skill sets here!
